Work of breathing
The air flow characteristics of all Aqua Lung controllers are thoroughly tested on the ANSTI respiration simulator. The bench-simulator measures the force for inhaling and exhaling under various regulator operating conditions and conditions (different depth, cylinder pressure, low water temperature, etc.). The results of these tests are analyzed by means of a personal computer and converted into data of "general work of breathing". According to these data, a "breathing schedule" is built up.

All Aqua Lung regulators fully satisfy or exceed the strict European requirements for the characteristics of the diving equipment supplied to European countries. According to the requirements of the European standard EN250, the total work of breathing should not exceed 3 J / liter with a depth of immersion of 50 m. The total work of breathing of any regulator is at least half the required limit.
